Alleluia! Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Alleluia! Welcome to this celebration of the Resurrection of our Lord, Easter Sunday. Jesus has died, and is risen, promising that we, too, will rise to eternal life in the nearer presence of God.
Welcome to the Great Vigil of Easter, as we move toward dawn while hearing the Old Testament stories of God’s salvation history, then celebrate the first Eucharist of Easter, Jesus coming to us in body and blood, risen from the tomb and bringing us salvation.
It is Good Friday. We worship at 7 p.m., a stark evening when we hear the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ, who suffered death on a cross. It is the second of The Three Days.
We hear on Maundy Thursday, April 2, the beginning of Jesus’ last night of life, as he shares a meal with his disciples, then becomes servant to them, washing their feet, and telling them this is an example given to them so that they may do the same. It is the first of The Three Days.
Join us on March 29 as we wave palms for the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, then hear of Jesus’ passion: his arrest, torture, betrayal and murder on a cross. It’s Palm Sunday, the beginning of our Holy Week walk toward the cross, and resurrection.
Join us on Saturday, Jan. 2 at 11 a.m. as we remember the life of the Rev. Martin M. Roth and celebrate the resurrection promises made to him in his baptism that he is now experiencing in their fullness. Rest eternal grant him, O Lord, and may light perpetual shine upon him. May he rest in peace, and rise in glory.
Join us on Dec. 24 as we celebrate the Nativity of our Lord, the birth of Jesus the Christ. Tonight we hear the good news that changed the world, and changed us. Worship begins at 7 p.m.
We prepare for the advent of our God with a service of Advent Lessons & Carols, featuring the Thiel College choir and the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church choir in a special Friends of Music Concert. The concert will be held Nov. 23 at 6 p.m.
